Insurance Brokers | Top Companies: This Week's Reviews |
| Services Offered: Broker referrals for Home Insurance, Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Auto Insurance |
| Company Overview: Insurance.Com is located outside of Cleveland, Ohio and is independently owned and operated. They offer quotes from top insurance companies in the nation, and are licensed to sell insurance in all 50 states. They are known in New York as Insurance.com Insurance Agency of Ohio, Inc. and in New Hampshire as Comparison Market Insurance Agency, Inc. |
| Our Review: As far as internet insurance sites go, this place is one of the best. It’s a small local company so the service is good, and the website is easy to understand. There’s also a ton of information about insurance and insurance related topics that have useful content. |
| User Review: I liked Insurance.com because when you go there, all you have to do is type in your zip code and they take you to the quotes section right away, which connects you with agents. They also have helpful tips and information about auto insurance on their website, which was nice. |
| Services Offered: Broker referrals for Auto Insurance, Home Insurance, Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Business Insurance |
| Company Overview: Company was founded in 1989 as a one-stop shopping site for customers in need of insurance of all kinds. They have over 25 million customers to date, and are one of the most visited insurance quote websites on the internet, offering affiliation with over 100 of the top insurance companies in the nation. |
| Our Review: NetQuote offers a simple, fast service to consumers. Their quotes are free and the forms are easy to fill out. Also, if you have questions, customer service e-mails and phone numbers are readily available. They offer many helpful tools, including articles to help consumers understand insurance and choose which one is right for them. Overall, a great informational and efficient insurance broker website. |
| User Review: I went to NetQuote looking for health insurance, and I didn’t really know what I was looking for. Their site was informative, helping me to understand the different types of health insurance available and what would be best for me. They found me an insurance broker in my neighborhood, and I’ve been insured ever since. |
| Services Offered: Broker location for insurance including: Life, Health, Auto, Home, Renter’s, Disability, Business, and Long Term Care Insurance |
| Company Overview: 2insure4less.com is a free referral service that can refer consumers to the top insurance brokers nationwide. They do not sell insurance nor are they an insurance company. 2insure4less.com functions by offering an affiliate service for insurance companies that offer their services to 2insure4less.com’s customer base. |
| Our Review: For once, an honest website. They openly disclose they don’t sell insurance, only offering quotes and broker referrals. Many sites will mislead you into thinking they’re actually selling you the insurance, but not this place. They just find you good quotes, and let the insurance companies do the rest. The only downside: once you fill out the forms you’ll have up to three different insurance companies calling and/or emailing you about their quotes. |
| User Review: I was skeptical about using this site, because the insurance brokers had to call me with their quotes, but I was excited when an insurance broker from my neighborhood called with the best quote. I’ve been insured with them ever since, and I have 2insure4less to thank for making the connection! |
| Services Offered: Broker referrals and free quotes on Life Insurance, Car Insurance, Home Insurance, Health Insurance and Motorcycle Insurance |
| Company Overview: Kanetix was founded in 1999 to provide customers with one stop shopping for free insurance quotes. All of their business is done via e-commerce. Kanetix's ownership is split between its employees and its majority shareholder, the Great-West Life Assurance Company. |
| Our Review: Kanetix is a great place to get referrals for insurance brokers. Their site design is basic, and easy to follow. However, once you fill out the forms and get the company names, you must contact the companies on your own to actually get the policy. |
| User Review: I love this website. I spent five minutes filling out their form for auto insurance quote and received five quotes back in a matter of minutes. Plus, all the quotes I got referred me to insurance brokers in my area, which was great. |

| How To Select The Best Company For Insurance Brokers |
There are many ways to go about finding the right insurance brokers for you. You can use one of the many insurance brokers referral sites to get ballpark estimates and then call the companies you desire. Or, you can simply open your phone book and start calling insurance companies, asking for quotes over the phone. The second option will be very time consuming, but can be done if you either don’t have good internet navigating skills, or prefer to talk to someone in person. The better of the two options, as far as being efficient and time friendly, is to use these referral sites to get contacts and ballpark quotes from insurance brokers in your area. There is really no right or wrong way to choose insurance brokers. You just have to make sure that they are offering the services you need, and that their customer service is what you want it to be. If you’re unsure, feel free to ask questions or check out the insurance brokers’ websites to find out which companies suit you best. Choosing insurance brokers will depend on the kind of insurance you are shopping for as well; some brokers will be more specialized in one form of insurance than others. For example, you wouldn’t call a company that specializes in auto insurance when you’re looking for health insurance. If you’re still not sure who to choose, simply ask around. Ask your friends, family, and associates for suggestions, and who they get their insurance from. This way you can get insurance from brokers who are known to be good. If you just pick a company without researching or asking for information, you may end up picking a bad one. However, as long as you do your research and ask questions, finding insurance brokers can be a very simple task.
